What a surprise this is! It’s a beautifully handcrafted salt-glaze pottery piggy bank from Wainstones Pottery.
We believe this item dates from the late 1970s to early 1980s and for its age it is in excellent condition as the rather tough salt-glaze has protected our piggy very well!
It measures 11cm in height, 11cm in width and 18cm in length. As you can see from the photos, it still has its plastic retaining cap to stop the pennies from falling out!
A great gift or curio to any pottery, piggy bank or quirky item lover!
