Alfred Meakin Tea and Side Plate Set – 16 pieces – Offwhite and Painted Cornflowers – Good condition

This is a beautiful 16 piece ceramic set from the ever collectible Alfred Meakin

They are in overall good condition with signs of crazing on a large number of items. We would suggest that these would be for occasional or decorative use only. There is the odd nibble here and there, however, for a set that we think is nearly 100 years old, they have stood the test of time rather well.

The set consists of 4 each of cups, saucers, side plates and salad plates. Each has a trio of decorative flowers that look like Cornflowers. The base colour is an off-white and complements the vividness of the florals wonderfully.

Each cup is 12cm in diameter across the handle and 5.5cm tall. The saucers are 14cm in diameter, the side plates are 15cm in diameter and the larger dinner or salad plates are 22.5cm in diameter. Only the larger plates have the Alfred Meakin backstamp.
