Antique Chinese or Japanese Bon Bon Dish With Handle / Ornamental Flower Basket. Very Good Condition For Age. Possibly Early 1800s.

Description

This ornamental basket is most likely Japanese. It is decorated with flowers and has a wicker handle that is held on with wire that passes through the holes in the basket. We believe this to date to around the very early 1800s. As you would expect it is crazed and clearly shows signs of it’s age. There are no chips. There are obvious signs of it being old ceramic with air holes at the underside from the firing process. Excellent for a collector.

Dimensions Approx: 5.5cm tall (not including handle) x 16cm wide.
