Carlton Ware Lustre Cup and Plate

Description

This is a recent arrival at the boutique. This pink Lustre Carlton Ware cup and side plate, were probably made around the early 1900s. The famous pottery in Stoke on Trent, started producing these in c1894.

It has gold paint running around the rim and on handle. The plate is slightly crazed to the underside. There are no signs of crazing to the cup but both have signs of wear. They are overall in good condition for their age.

Dimensions: (Plate) 14.5cm diameter. (Cup) 5.5cm tall to top of handle x 9cm diameter.
