Medium Antique Victorian Brass Jam Pan – Good condition – 38cm diameter – 38cm tall – Working Condition!

Description

This is an antique brass Jam Pan from the mid to late 19th century. It is in good condition for its age, measuring 38cm in diameter and also 38cm in height. It is very heavy for its size indicating a good copper content, and is in overall good condition previously being working piece and has some signs of patina and wear (verdigris in places on the copper – we do not clean this as some customers prefer the signs of age). The bottom is blackened through use, and again, we tend not to address non-structural wear to our items, preferring to keep the signs of age on metalwork.

The body of the pan shows a deep brass coloured lustre and would make a statement indoor planter, container and possibly could still be used for preserve making, if you prefer!
