This is an excellently painted wall plate picturing the historic monument of Convento dos Capuchos in Sintra, Portugal which is noted for its many historical buildings.

The plate is decorative only as depicts one of the living quarters that the convent is famous for. It is 24.5cm in diameter and is in good to very good condition. There has been age related wear to the finish, however this is minimal. There is a small very old chip on the reverse, but again this does not spoil what is an exquisitely detailed and well painted piece.
