Description

Admiral Sir William James Lloyd Wharton, (born in 1843), was a British admiral and Hydrographer of the Navy. He produced this map originally in 1892. This has had some changes made to it in the 1920s and some large changes made in 1932. He served in the Navy from 1857 to 1904. This particular one is from around 1932, so reflecting the large changes.

The map itself is very fragile and has been left in a somewhat dusty environment. Please study photos carefully as it is in need of a lot of restoration in order to clean it up. Having said that, it can be mounted and framed. The problem areas are at the edges of the map particulay to the one side where the map has been left rolled up.
