Description
This refectory table is made of solid oak. The wooden pegs / Wedges have been changed.
It has been waxed and has a lovely soft/silky feel to it. It was probably made sometime around the early 20th century and therefore, the overall condition is good for it’s age.
The term “refectory” became popular in the 19th/20th centuries as demand grew for furniture with “monastic romance”. In modern times, due to their sturdy construction, they are popular for both traditional and modern farmhouse-style settings.
There has in the past been a slight wood worm problem but this has been treated and no longer exists. It also adds to the patina of the table.
It can comfortably seat 4 to 6 people.
It measures 160cm in length x 76cm width and 76cm height.
This will be delivered with the legs unattached, so please be aware that it will require some very light assembly.
Thanks for looking.
