Description

This is a recent arrival at the boutique. This unusual antique nursing chair with circular seat drawer was probably made during the very early part of the 20th century, possibly earlier and maybe recovered as late as the 1950s.

The fabric is in excellent condition for its age and is filled with a natural and probably original hemp/straw filling. It has a beige, brown, pink and sage coloured decor, with textured floral detailing. It is not clear if this has been recovered over the years but we suggest that it probably has been but some time ago. The wooden base is a very substantial wood and all four legs are stout and sturdy, made from a teak or mahogany. Considering its age, it is in very good to excellent condition and is showing barely any signs of wear on the material.

It is finished with a woollen khaki trim which is rather fluffy to the touch, and is also in very good condition.
