Firescreen with Knitted Scene of Lady on Spinning Wheel c1940s/50s in Very Good Condition

Description

This is a classic British fireplace screen, itself likely from the 1920s though the panel itself is likely from the 1940s or 1950s, depicting a lady on a spinning wheel.

The motif is knitted, and due to the uniformity, likely on a knitting machine. The glass screen is in very good condition. There are no significant defects with the piece, other than age wear and some small scuffing to the varnish at the front. The rear is pinned and has a small wooden carry handle. It is in overall very good condition for its age.
